The light trap’s collapsible design allows them to be easily stacked on cramped boat decks, making transportation, deployment, and retrieval easier than ever.

The Sea-Gear Corporation plankton net features high-quality construction and reliable performance. Six 1” diameter funnel shaped openings allow plankton to enter the net, while the 500-micron mesh size keeps them from escaping.

The standard light trap, equipped with a single high output LED light is powered by 2 C cells. They allow for deployment of up to 32 hours. Upgrade to 4 batteries for improved system autonomy of up to 64 hours.

The design features easy retrieval of the jar thanks to the threaded cod end, access to the batteries and light via 3 wing-nuts and automatic powering of the light via a float switch.
